Your Child’s First Visit
We believe that children should come to the dentist as early as possible in order to ensure the best dental health. You can bring your child to Burns Dental Group once teeth begin to erupt, which is usually by 12 months of age. This first visit will allow you to introduce your child to our dental office and team in a relaxed manner.
We want you and your child to become comfortable here. By carefully approaching this first appointment at Burns Dental Group, we can help your child feel comfortable with their dentist and educate them at an early age about good dental habits.
We believe that good dental care starts for children even before they’re born. If you are expecting a baby, we encourage you to come in for an appointment at Burns Dental Group for excellent and compassionate care during this time to help your baby have the best possible start!
Free First Tooth Appointment
At Burns Dental Group, we offer a free “First Tooth Appointment” to make it easy for families to bring their children to the dentist. Once your child’s first tooth appears, give us a call to schedule this free consultation!
The dentists and staff at Burns Dental recommend fluoride to strengthen your enamel and make teeth more resistant to decay. We provide fluoride varnish which is painted on tooth surfaces. When using fluoride toothpaste, “spit don’t rinse” your mouth. This technique leaves fluoride on your teeth, especially when used at night.
No Cavity Kids Club
At Burns Dental Group, we want kids to practice good dental health habits all year long! One way to help encourage our patients is through our No Cavity Kids Club! Kids of all ages can now join to be eligible to win prizes throughout the year!
One way for kids to keep their teeth clean and healthy is to use an electric toothbrush made especially for them.
These toothbrushes have timers that help ensure the full two minutes of brushing without any nagging, and they are conveniently ready to purchase at Burns Dental Group.
Spit No Rinse
Kids can benefit from using our “spit no rinse” technique right before bedtime. After brushing teeth with a fluoride toothpaste at night, have kids spit but not rinse their mouths. This leaves fluoride on their teeth at night, helping to strengthen them.
We welcome kids of all ages and the young at heart! For more details on dental care treatment and services for children, go to the Academy of General Dentistry at www.agd.org/. Call Burns Dental Group at 541-573-7778 to schedule your personalized appointment.
