Restorative Dental Care

Dental Fillings

The Burns, Oregon dentists and staff at Burns Dental Group provide both amalgam fillings and natural looking composite restorations. Composite dental fillings closely match the shape and color of surrounding teeth, protecting them from further decay.

Amalgam fillings have been used safely for over 70 years. The dentists at Burns Dental only recommend removal of amalgam fillings when there is a defect in the filling or decay in the tooth. If you have received fillings over the years, we will closely monitor them for any signs of failure and offer replacement options when necessary.

CEREC Crowns

At Burns Dental Group, we use the latest in dental technology in order to provide state of the art crowns using our in-house CEREC system.

CEREC 3D® is a computerized system for designing and milling beautiful porcelain crowns and tooth-colored restorations in a single visit. With CEREC, we remove only those portions of the tooth already lost or weakened, saving as much of original structure as possible, consistent with our minimally invasive approach to dentistry. And there are no impressions, temporary crowns, or return visits necessary with this procedure!

Dental Bridges

One of the worst side effects of missing teeth is the additional stress placed on the remaining teeth. A dental bridge is an effective way to alleviate this stress by replacing missing teeth, attaching artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth. Good dental care is critically important, as the bridge relies on the neighboring teeth for support.

Dental Implants

The Burns, Oregon dentists and staff at Burns Dental Group provide natural-looking and convenient dental implants. Dental implants are an increasingly popular way to replace missing teeth. They not only support crowns, bridges and dentures, but they also take place of the roots themselves.  Dental implants are fixtures of titanium, which are surgically placed into your jawbone. The implant acts as an anchor for a crown or denture to fit over.

While dentures and removable partials are usually loose and unstable, implants provide you with dental replacements that are natural looking and very functional. Implants look and feel better than their removable counterparts. Best of all, they will last a lifetime if properly maintained.

A dental implant requires no alterations to the adjacent teeth. Regular oral hygiene is required for implants to stay clean and healthy. It’s also important to regularly visit Burns Dental for routine follow-up appointments and cleanings to keep your new smile healthy and bright!

Removable Dentures

Burns Dental provides dentures which can replace missing teeth.

  • Partial Dentures – A partial denture attaches to your natural teeth and is removable.
  • Dentures – A full denture replaces all of the teeth in an arch and is removable.
  • Over-dentures – An over-denture typically “snaps” onto place over placed implants.

Regular dental examinations are still important for the denture wearer so that the oral tissues can be checked for any changes or need for a reline.
